Four New Shoe Styles For Summer

English shoe brand Joseph Cheaney & Sons has unveiled four new styles for summer. The edit sees classic styles get a makeover with lighter materials and new colour ways. Designers are rolling out the Newport two-tone brogue, a combination of mahogany calf leather and brown suede, as well as the more contemporary mahogany calf leather and brown suede Edwin model. A further Edwin silhouette in the mini-collection opts for chestnut calf leather with blue suede, while the second Newport mixes dark leaf calf leather and sand canvas. All four are available to buy from Cheaney’s flagship store in London now, with prices around £300. Joseph Cheaney & Sons is renowned for hand-crafting footwear since 1886 in Northamptonshire, dubbed the heart of English footwear. The firm recently released photos of its production methods, which include making use of cork to insulate and mould the shape of a foot, and using tools known as clickers to cut individual pieces of leather before being flat stitched together. It takes around fifteen technicians to complete the process of lasting, stitching, trimming, adding heels and final polishing.
