Brand Harks Back To 1950s Miami For SS15 Collection
Ready yourself for a bit of time travel – Original Penguin is transporting us back to 1950s Miami for its latest collection.
Inspired by the lively US city in an era gone by, the range blends vibrant shades of red, green, aquamarine and soft pink in a nod to the colourful beachfront homes that span the coast.
Meanwhile, foliage prints of palm trees and deck chair-inspired stripes feature across a preppy range of button-up shirts, polos, shorts and tees, complemented by muted denim shirts, chinos and dark wash jeans.
A highlight of the collection comes in the form of a sky blue seersucker suit complete with vintage floral print – the perfect statement outfit for any summer event.
This is the second time in as many seasons that the American casual wear label has gone retro for a collection, with the brand previously releasing a 1950 collegiate-inspired Vintage Gym line at the end of 2014.
Original Penguin’s Miami collection is available now at the brand’s webstore, with prices ranging from £60 for polo shirts to £120 for bomber jackets.
