Founded by brothers Irving and Jack Schott in 1913, Schott NYC has been on the cusp of American cultural history for more than a century. Shortly after designing the first ever motorcycle jacket in 1928, the Manhattan-based brand began producing bomber jackets and peacoats for the US Navy. It’s a rich and storied heritage that has won Schott fans ranging from Marlon Brando to Lou Reed and Kanye West.
It makes sense, then, that the brand has dug deep into its vast archive to create an all new premium collection for autumn 16. The debut Limited Edition range features iconic Schott outerwear including parkas, bombers, collared leathers and flight jackets in premium materials such as lambskin suede, sheepskin, chakal fur and steer hide.
Despite being titled Limited Edition, we suspect (and hope) the success of this collection will mean the styles stick around for as long as the originals.
The Schott NYC Limited Edition collection will be available from the end of July at The Goodhood Store and Harvey Nichols, priced from £325.
