Chadwick Boseman, the man behind Marvel’s latest hit, has elevated his wardrobe of late, nailing multiple red-carpet looks with a series of tailored pieces. Replicate with your own neutral, fitted separates, and you too can make easy prey of smart-casual dress codes.

He’s admitted to taking ‘tips’ from the latest Fifty Shades, but thankfully, Liam Payne kept the fetishwear off the red carpet. By settling for a dark monochrome base, the LA native flatters his shape by eliminating shadow, yet introduces some texture and colour with navy up-top. Factor in the mighty fine glasses too for some serious specs appeal.

Style is no laughing matter – even for notorious funnyman Kevin Hart. At an NFL Honours event in Minneapolis, the 38-year-old cut a sombre but stylish figure in all-black – an easy way to shave the pounds your workout won’t. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom. The absence of a tie and a pair of well-deployed sunglasses took the look from funeral to fun without rocking the boat.

Double denim – arguably the trickiest move in the book – is simple and stylish with a parka and rugged boots offsetting the big blue. Manchester by the Sea ain’t got nothing on this.

While his character Erik Killmonger may be the villain we love to hate, Michael B. Jordan is our new style hero. During a photocall for Black Panther, he paired straight-leg jeans with fashionably ugly trainers. So far, so simple. However, the 30-year-old flattered his upper half with a trio of layered staples that’ll work in Wakanda and beyond.

Three Billboards isn’t Sam Rockwell’s only award-winning performance. On the media trail for his latest film, the Oscar hopeful upgraded the humble two-piece with a printed shirt, ensuring navy accents chimed with his tailoring for a standout look. Finally, A$AP Rocky is back – and he’s more deserving than ever of the front-row seat. By switching a shirt for a simple tee, the ‘L$D’ hitmaker relaxed what could be a stuffy look and was punctuated with just the right amount of bling around the neck. Sorry Kanye: this fashion killa is here to slay.

You can’t mimic the man’s bone structure, but you can have a go at copying Jon Kortajarena’s wardrobe. Head-to-toe neutrals score easy-wearing tonal points, while a darker roll neck and similarly coloured shoes dilute the overarching coffee creams.

Not only is 22-year-old Timothée Chalamet making a mockery of us professionally, he’s now doing it with his clothes. The Oscar nominee made a dark green suit wearable, losing the tie – and with it, any sartorial distractions – for a clean, dialled-down take on red carpet formality. Brilliant: yet another bright young thing to emulate/envy.
